Terms & Conditions

Section 1 — Scope

These Terms & Conditions govern the sale of products offered on the GeckOrigin website between:

GeckOrigin, a sole proprietorship operating under the French micro-enterprise regime,
Business Registration Number (SIRET): 522 867 183,
Registered address: Route de Saint Germain Laval, 42110 Sainte-Foy-Saint-Sulpice, France,

and any individual or legal entity placing an order through the website.

By placing an order, the customer acknowledges having read and accepted these Terms & Conditions in full.

Section 2 — Products

The products available for purchase are those displayed on the GeckOrigin website.

Each product is described as accurately as possible. However, photographs, illustrations, and other visual representations are provided for informational purposes only and are not contractually binding.

GeckOrigin products are intended for feeding frugivorous geckos and compatible species.

Section 3 — Pricing

All prices are displayed in euros (€).

GeckOrigin operates under the French micro-enterprise tax regime and is not subject to VAT in accordance with Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code.

Shipping costs are displayed before the customer confirms the order.

GeckOrigin reserves the right to modify prices at any time. Products will be invoiced at the price in effect at the time the order is placed.

Section 4 — Orders

Any order placed through the website constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

Once payment has been successfully processed, the customer will receive an order confirmation email.

GeckOrigin reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order in the event of:

a previous dispute with the customer;
suspected fraudulent activity;
or clearly inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the customer.

Section 5 — Payment

Payment is due in full at the time the order is placed.

Payments are processed through the secure payment methods available on the website.

GeckOrigin does not have access to the customer’s complete payment or banking information.

Section 6 — Shipping and Delivery

Orders are shipped to the delivery address provided by the customer during checkout.

Delivery times are estimates only and may vary depending on:

the shipping carrier;
the destination country;
customs procedures;
or periods of increased shipping activity.

GeckOrigin shall not be held responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs authorities, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Section 7 — International Orders

GeckOrigin ships to many countries worldwide.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the products ordered comply with the import regulations applicable in their country.

Customs duties, import taxes, handling fees, or other charges may apply depending on the destination country. Any such charges are the sole responsibility of the customer.

Section 8 — Receipt of Goods

Customers are required to inspect their package upon delivery.

Any issue, including damaged packaging, missing items, or incorrect products, should be reported by email as soon as reasonably possible and accompanied by photographs where appropriate.

Section 9 — Returns and Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to food products that have been opened or unsealed after delivery for hygiene and safety reasons.

For unopened products, customers have the right to withdraw from their purchase within fourteen (14) days of receiving their order.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Refunds will be issued after the returned products have been received and inspected.

Section 10 — Product Use

GeckOrigin products must be used only for their intended purpose.

Customers remain solely responsible for:

the husbandry conditions of their animals;
meeting the specific needs of each species;
and the appropriate use of the products.

Any care information, feeding recommendations, or husbandry advice provided on the website is intended for informational purposes only and does not replace the advice of a qualified exotic animal veterinarian.

Section 11 — Limitation of Liability

GeckOrigin shall not be liable for:

improper use of its products;
inadequate animal husbandry practices;
or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the website or its products.

Section 12 — Personal Data

Information collected during the ordering process is used solely for:

order processing;
customer support;
and business administration purposes.

Personal data is never sold or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.

Customers have the right to access, correct, and request the deletion of their personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
